A Big Thicket Swamp. My painting captures the eerie beauty of a swamp in the Big Thicket of Southeast Texas at dusk. The cypress trees struggle to survive and thick undergrowth creates a sense of mystery and danger, while the dark, still water reflects the purple hues of the sky above. I've used shades of green, brown, and deep red to create a mysterious atmosphere and added splashes of purple, red, and orange to represent the setting sun. The overall mood of this painting is one of eerie beauty, evoking the sense of something lurking just beneath the surface.
