Artist's Description
By the mid-sixties, the Beatles were all over the charts as the "British Invasion" was in full swing. The "Times they were a changing" Mini-skirts, twiggy and bee-hive hair styles were in. Manard G. Crebbs was being replaced by flower children and hippies in old Volkswagon busses!
There was a strange mix of juke box hits: "Wild Thing", "Strangers in the Night", "The Ballad of the Green Berets", and "Hanky Panky". The Rolling Stones had "Paint it Black" while the Four Tops sang "Reach Out I'll Be There". (Both groups are still around!)
This scene looks in on a young graduate trying out her new Mustang with a friend. They seem to be getting a lot of attention from the guys in the Super Sport Chevelle.
Perhaps they'll double date to see the latest movie at the South Park Drive-in Theatre, "The Wild Angels" with Peter Fonda, or just have a great malt and talk about the new TV show that started last night, a show that took us where no man (no one) has gone before...<...

I remember like it was yesterday... The little black box of PRANG watercolors I received at Christmas when I was seven started me on a lifelong love of drawing and painting. Rendering the images of every comic book character from Mickey Mouse to Superman and Little Lulu furthered my art education. Little Golden Books, "The Color Kittens," taught me the basics of mixing colors. Then a magical experience happened!
